Are you a mental health advocate wanting to make a big impact in the lives of licensed mental health professionals, and the industry as a whole?
You’ve come to the right place!
Licensed mental health professionals undergo an arduous, time-consuming, and expensive process to attain the education, clinical hours, and licenses that they need in order to practice (this can take up to 12 years) and they're trained and encouraged to seek traditional positions in organizations where the majority of them are overworked, underpaid, and have little to no agency over who they support.
This is the perfect recipe for debt, burnout, and overwhelm.
The Minimalist Business Consultancy is challenging the status quo by supporting licensed mental health professionals with the alternative option of growing their own practice. This enables them to reduce their hours, significantly increase their income, and serve the clients they're most passionate about helping - leading to fulfillment, spaciousness in their day-to-day

If they do choose to start their own practice, they are met with criticism by peers and educators, find themselves chasing down insurance companies just to get paid a living wage, feel torn about which polices they can or should have with their clients (thanks to some not-so-helpful conditioning from their respective institutions), and have to navigate how to run a functional business - on top of ya know, caring for peoples' mental health.
Mental health professionals should have the same agency, opportunity, and support to grow their dream business as any other business owner or entrepreneur instead of being restricted, discouraged, and alienated for pursuing an unconventional career in their industry.

How It Works:
Each year we provide partial and full scholarships to as many licensed mental health professionals as we can with the funds based on financial need, vision, etc. . 100% of donations go directly to business training and services for candidates. They don't go to supplies, overhead, or any of that shit.

Our Approach To Business
Comedy
Delanie performed at clubs, colleges, theatres, and festivals nationally and internationally for 6 years, and was featured on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, Fuse's Stand Up And Deliver, FOX's Laughs and Punchline, and she co-wrote and appeared in Lifetime’s Bad Tutor. Fischer also co-produced and co-hosted one of the most popular independent comedy shows in the Los Angeles area called The Nine Drink Minimum - a casual BYOB event featuring some of the biggest names in comedy. Along with landing walk-on roles in various films, she co-created and co-starred in an award-winning web series, and as her farewell to stand-up comedy, she executive produced the docu-comedy special, Love at First Cousin.
Podcasts
Delanie co-hosts the chart-topping comedic personal growth podcast with millions of downloads, Self-Helpless, that she co-created with two of her hilarious friends, Kelsey Cook and Taylor Tomlinson. Special guests include a variety of celebrities like Tan France, Michael Buble,' and Whitney Cummings, health and wellness experts, and Helpsters (what their subscribers call themselves). Self-Helpless has been featured on Conan, The Tonight Show, Popsugar, and The Stand-Up Magazine. Fischer also hosts a podcast for licensed mental health professionals called The Minimalist Business Podcast - all about how to implement a minimalist approach to business for more impact, revenue, and freedom. The Minimalist Business Podcast has been featured in Renewed Awareness Magazine and hit the top Entrepreneur charts as early as episode 1, where it frequented throughout its entire duration as a public podcast. The Minimalist Business Podcast has since become a private podcast available for free at delaniefischer.com.

Delanie had this strange hobby, that started as a happy accident at a holiday party, where she turned her loved ones, characters, and celebrities into tasteful penis caricatures (aka dickartoons) that she hand-painted on coffee mugs. And of course each piece of art had a killer pun - Dong Swanson, Kim Karshaftian, Strawberry Shortcock (just to name a few). This was a hobby she did for some fun side cash for about 3 years before launching it as a "real" business where Fischer dickified her customers. During the run of this humorous custom art business called Dicks by Delanie, she scaled DBD from a physical product-based business to a digital product business with a very talented team of cartoonists. Delanie's customers would put their funny digital art on totes, shirts, mugs, pillows, cakes, invitations, etc. for unique gifts and special events. Dicks by Delanie was featured on Voyage LA, Bertcast, Controlled Chaos with Josh Wolf, and her team had the pleasure of dickifying several celebs and public figures. Conan (Conads O'Brien) was even gifted a dick mug! What more could a girl want in life?
